Conversational AISociety

Technology. Human experience.
The conversations in between.

About the Society

A place for the
whole conversation.

Conversational AI brings technology into contact with human expectations, relationships and responsibility. Understanding it takes more than one discipline.

Why we're here

Bring the pieces together.
Find your people.

Conversational AI Society is a growing hub for people building, studying, using and governing conversational AI. It brings learning, research, safety developments, books and engineering practice into one place.

The idea grew from a familiar experience: following a question across disciplines, finding useful knowledge scattered between them, and wishing there were people to explore it with.

Who it's for

Bring the experience you have.
Explore what comes next.

01

Building & designing

For the engineer adding an AI character to a game, the designer shaping a chatbot experience, or the builder working through a companion's memory architecture.

02

Evaluating & governing

For privacy, governance and safety professionals who need to understand how conversational systems work and what to ask about a deployment.

03

Researching & learning

For researchers, independent learners and thoughtful users pursuing a question, examining an observation, or looking beyond their own specialism.

Meet the founder

Anna Wojewodzka

Conversational AI systems specialist
and independent researcher

Anna's path to conversational AI runs through computer science, games, localisation and systems design. Her research explores what happens when human–AI conversations continue for weeks or months: how context accumulates, corrections persist, and behaviour changes over time.

Alongside that research, she builds and studies persistent conversational systems. The Society grows from the same curiosity, and from a desire to find a community where technical practice, human experience and difficult questions can meet.

Our starting point

Companion systems.
A wider conversation.

Companion systems are a particular focus of Anna's work. They bring questions about continuity, memory, trust and human experience into sharp focus.

The Society's scope also includes conversational AI in games, services, workplaces and other settings. We explore where lessons transfer, and where the people, purpose or context call for a different approach.

How we want to work

Curiosity, with care.

Follow the evidence

Make sources and limitations visible. Distinguish research findings, working hypotheses and personal experience.

Make it useful

Explain who a resource is for, what it helps with and what questions remain. Connect ideas to the work people actually do.

Leave room for disagreement

Welcome different disciplines and perspectives. Give thoughtful criticism a place alongside practical experience.

Taking shape

A hub first.
A community to grow with.

We're beginning with a curated collection of learning, research, reading and practical work. Shared discussions and meetups are part of the longer-term ambition.
