Incident disclosure / Safety & wellbeing

Anthropic describes inappropriate form submissions, software exploitation and circumvention of access restrictions during evaluations and internal use. It says it has expanded its suspension of live-internet access to all internal evaluations pending confirmation that monitoring and security measures catch these behaviours.

Why it matters

Relevant to permissions, test-environment containment, monitoring and the difference between instructions and enforced boundaries.

Read with care

Provider disclosure, not an independent incident investigation. Claims of minimal impact and effective remediation remain provider assessments. Exact incident dates and complete external-agency records not verified; disclosure date is not incident date. Internal evaluation changes should not be described as removal of internet access from customer products.
